As part of the drive to assist UK home owners who are living in flood risk areas, by providing them with affordable insurance, the Association of British Insurers set up Flood Re (https://www.abi.org.uk/Insurance-and-savings/Topics-and-issues/Flooding/Government-and-insurance-industry-flood-agreement/Flood-Re-explained) and awarded the Managing General Agent contract to Capita Insurance Services.
Landmark Information Group has been appointed by Capita Insurance Services to design, build and operate the advanced location-based database management and hosting services that Capita Insurance Services will use to fulfil its managing agency contract with Flood Re, providing affordable insurance for all UK homes at high risk of flooding.
The Landmark Solutions division will provide Capita Insurance Services with a proven, robust and high performance register service, to power Flood Re’s IT and database operations.
